Ellen has a toolkit of creative skills in Directing, Producing and Writing for theatre. She has proven her ability to combine visual and immersive elements into her own devised pieces such as: Syzygy, AYAHUASCA and What IF? Ellen has a PGCE in Secondary Drama which has enabled her to reach into bigger platforms like Theatre in Education a

Ellen has a PGCE in Secondary Drama which has enabled her to reach into bigger platforms like Theatre in Education and Youth Theatre in Schools around Manchester. Her passion is enhancing confidence in young performers, nurturing social skills that can be transferable in everyday life. Her love is in the art of storytelling and play. Ellen has the ability to bring light, fun and intellect into a drama space. Her 15+ years in the industry has allowed her to perform on the West End, Teach for multiple drama academies and finally pursue her dream of touring within her own company with the most incredible team.

After taking a leap of faith into the Performing Arts at the University of Salford when she was 18, Shyla has been consistently learning and throwing herself into projects and collaborative spaces ever since. Knowing the effect that performance has had on her own confidence and sense of identity, Shyla is driven by a passion to help others feel seen through Art. She has been involved in Contact's Young Company for the past 2 years, where she has been trained in topics such as accessibility, racism and facilitation as well as leading exercises and creatively collaborating with the other members. She is currently working with children with learning disabilities, and is really excited to be a part of this wonderful Company, making theatre that is for everyone!
